    This is a recipe submitted to our hospital cookbook by Mary Sue Ruhlman, PT. I made this as Christmas gifts and it was such a big hit, I couldn't resist adding it for everyone to appreciate!

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. pecans or combination pecans and almonds
    3 egg whites
    dash of salt
    1 C sugar
    1/2 C butter

    Recipe



    Toast nuts at 325 degrees until light brown.

    Beat egg whites with salt until frothy. Add sugar and beat until stiff. Fold in nuts.

    Melt butter in 10x15x1" jelly roll pan. Spread nut mixture over butter and bake for 30 minutes. Stir carefully every 10 minutes until light brown. Cool on paper towels and break into pieces.
