Recipe Introduction
Great for holiday gift giving.
List of Ingredients
2 1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. Cocoa powder (clean inside of jar after this layer)
3/4 c. chopped pecans
1 1/4 c. flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking powder & 1 tsp. salt
Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 qt. wide mouth canning jar. Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient.
Recipe
For the gift tag you attach to the card, write:
Empty jar of brownie mix into large mixing bowl. Use your hands to thoughly blend the mix. Add 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, not diet, melted, and 4 eggs slightly beated. Mix until completely blened. Spread batter in a sprayed 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Cool completely in pan. Cut into 2" squares. Makes 2 dozen brownies.
