Recipe Introduction
This dish was a winner at every picnic I took it to and seems it serves a lot more than 16. Really fast preparation too. The only change I made was I cut the shredded Cheddar measure in half and didn't affect recipe.
Serves 16.
List of Ingredients
16 Frankfurters, thinly sliced
2 Cups chopped onion
4 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons dry mustard
1 Tbl allspice
1 Tsp Pepper
1 55 Oz can B&M Brick Oven Bake Beans
1/2 Cup catsup
1/2 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
20 Ozs pasturized process cheese spread
or shredded cheddar (optional)
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 F. In skilled lightly brown franks with onion, butter, mustard, allspice and pepper, mixing well. Pour beans into a baking dish. Add catsup and brown sugar, mix well. Spread evely over the bottom of the dish. Layer franks over the beans. Top with cheese, if desired. Bake 30 min.
