    Here is one of our favorite recipes. Everybody that tastes it likes it. This is the season of apples so I thought I would share it with you.
    It may look like there are too many apples for the small amount of dough but don’t worry. The apples become smaller as it bakes.


    List of Ingredients






    Lovida’s Apple Pie Cake

    ¼ cup shortening or oleo
    1 cup sugar
    1 large egg or 2 small
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon cinnamon (I like more)
    1 teaspoon soda in 2 tablespoons hot water
    1 cup flour
    ½ cup chopped walnuts
    1 teaspoon vanilla







    Recipe



    Mix in 2 ½ cups diced apples. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Use a 9 inch round pan. Double the recipe for regular cake pan.
