    Baked Macaroni & Cheese

    Recipe Introduction

    Hubba had our mother's recipe for this wonderful mac & cheese.

    List of Ingredients

    elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
    sharp yellow cheddar
    butter
    Salt & Pepper
    milk
    saltine crackers

    Recipe

    Cook macaroni and drain.
    Butter casserole dish even the cover.
    Slice sharp yellow cheddar cheese.
    Put a layer of mac. a layer of sliced cheese and then put grated yellow cheddar over that.
    Put in a couple or three teaspoons of butter (I use margarine and Mama did). Salt & Pepper.
    Repeat the layers.
    Usually a two quart cassarole will hold two layers of each. Pour milk over the top until you have about an inch in the bottom of the cassarole.
    Crush saltine crackers and put on the top.
    Cook at 350 for about a half hour or until the crackers are brown.
