I had to put this one in. I found it written down in Peggy's handwriting when she was just learning to write in cursive. I've had this a long time.
List of Ingredients
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. salad oil
1 egg
2 apples, peeled and sliced
Recipe
Sift together dry ingredient. Add egg, buttermilk, salad oil and sliced apples. Mix well and pour into a lightly greased iron skillet. Bake at 350 degrees 40 to 50 minutes.
Serve warm topped with whipped cream.
