    Recipe Introduction

Here is a super easy and super good recipe for crockpot chicken---I have shared it with my office and now they are ALL making it! It sounds a bit strange, but trust me, it will make the most tender chicken you've ever had!

    List of Ingredients

    You need:
1 whole chicken (I use a Purdue Oven Stuffer)
1 pkg. Italian salad dressing mix (dry)

Using tinfoil, make 3 fist sized balls of foil and place them on the bottom of your crockpot's cooking vessel. Remove the giblets, etc from the chicken and place it, breast side down, on top of the foil balls. Sprinkle the DRY packet of salad dressing mix over the chicken. Cook on low (that's right, add NO liquid)6-8 hours.

This foil balls keep the chicken out of the accumulated liquid, preventing it from steaming instead of roasting. Variations are endless--you can use any type of dry seasoning you like--I've tried a teriyaki one and a ranch dressing, both good! I recommend mashed potatoes to go with the accumulated juices! Enjoy!
