    Mom's Peanut Butter Pie

    1 Baked Pie Crust
    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
    2/3 cup sugar
    2 cups scalded milk
    2 TBS butter
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1/4 cup corn starch
    3 egg yolks, beaten
    1 tsp vanilla
    MERINGUE:
    3 egg whites
    6 TBS sugar

    Mix peanut butter & powdered sugar together until crumbly & pea-sized. Reserve 2 TBS of this mixture and set aside for topping the meringue.
    Spread the remaining mixture into the bottom of the pie shell.
    Combine cornstarch, sugar, and salt into a large saucepan. Add milk and egg yolks. Cook over medium heat until thick. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour into pie shell.
    Meringue; Beat egg yolks until very stiff. Add sugar gradually and continue beating at high speed until sugar is dissolved. Top pie mixture with the meringue and sprinkle the top of meringue with the reserved 2 TBS Peanut Butter/Powdered Sugar.
    Bake in 350 degree pre-heated oven until golden brown.
    This is by far my VERY favorite Peanut Butter Pie Recipe and I hope you all love it too!!
