    If you are craving chocolate, this is the recipe for you!


    List of Ingredients


    • 2 Pkg. (16 squares) Semi-sweet baking chocolate, divided
    • 3/4 C Firmly packed brown sugar
    • 1/4 C Butter
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 t Vanilla
    • 1/2 C flour
    • 1/4 t Baking powder
    • 2 C Chopped nuts (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. Coarsely chop 8 squares (1 pkg) of the chocolate; set aside.
    3. Microwave the remaining 8 squares (1 pkg) chocolate in a large microwavable bowl on HIGH 1 - 2 minutes. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth.
    4. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking powder.
    5. Stir in reserved chopped chocolate and nuts.
    6. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
    7. BAKE: 12 to 13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch.
    8. Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute.
    9. Transfer to wire reack to cool completely.
    10. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen cookies.
