    List of Ingredients


    • 6oz elbow macaroni
    • 1 beaten egg
    • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1/2 cup chopped onion
    • 1 8-ounce can tomato sause
    • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    • 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
    • 3 tbs. butter or margarine
    • 3 tbs all-purpose flour
    • 1 1/2 cup milk
    • 1 beaten egg
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese


    Instructions


    1. Cook macaroni in a large amount of boiling salted water about 10 minutes or just till tender;Combine cooked macaroni,1 egg,the 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese,and the 1/4 cup of milk;set aside
    2. In skillet cook ground beef or ground lamb and onion till meat is browned and onion is tender;drain off.Stir in tomato sauce,cinnamon,nutmeg,1/2 tsp. salt,and 1/8 tsp. pepper;set aside
    3. For sauce;
      In a saucepan melt butter or margarine,stir in flour,and 1/4 tsp. salt.Add the 1 1/2 cup milk all at once;cook and stir till thickened and bubby;Remove from heat;Stir about half of the hot mixture into 1 beaten egg;return to the remaining hot mixture in sauce pan Stir in the 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese.
    4. Place half of the macaroni mixture in a 8*8*2-inch baking pan.Spoon the meat mixture atop;add the remaining macaroni mixture.Spread the sauce over all.
    5. Bake,uncovered,in 350;f oven for 40 to 45 minutes.Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. make 6 serving
