- 1 cup of beer or water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 3 cups bread four
- 3/4 tsp. yeast
- Cheese filling
- 1 2/3 cups chedder,swiss,or mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup chopped parsly
- 2 tsp. mustard
- 1/2 cracked peppercorns
- Toping
- 1 egg white beaten with 1 tbsp. water
- sprinkle with either,sea salt,coarse salt,or poppy seeds
Instructions
- PLACE INGREDIENTS IN PAN IN THE ORDER SPECIFIED IN YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL.SELECT DOUGH CYCLE
- COMBINE THE CHEESE FILLING UNTIL CRUMBLY,SET ASIDE. PUT THE DOUGH ON A LIGHTLY FLOUR BOARD.COVER;AND LET RISE FOR 10 TO 15 MIN. ROLL OUT INTO A 10-INCH RECTANGLE.CUT LENGTHWISE INTO 8 STRIPS.BRUSH ONE LONG EDGE OF EACH STRIPS WITH WATER.
- SPREAD FILLING DOWN THE CENTER OF EACH STRIPS TO WITHIN 1/2-INCH OF THE ENDS AND EDGES.PINCH THE DOUGH TOGETHER,ROLL INTO A SMOOTH ROPE,STRETCHING TO 16-INCH LONG.GRASP THE ENDS AND TWIST INTO A ROUNDED HEART.PLACE ON A GREASED BAKING SHEET,LIGHTLY PRESS THE ENDS INTO THE CURVED PART.
- COVER;LET RISE FOR 1 HOUR.BRUSH ON THE 1 EGG WHITE BEATEN WITH 1TBSP. WATER.SPRINKLE WITH SEA SALT,COARSE SALT OR POPPY SEEDS.
- BAKE;
FOR 18 TO 20 MIN. IN A 400'F PREHEATED OVEN.COOL FOR 5 MIN.
