    Mama's Pecan Pie


    List of Ingredients


    • 5 Egg yolks
    • 1 Cup Sugar
    • 1 Cup White corn syrup
    • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
    • 3 Tablespoons Butter
    • 1 Cup Pecan meats, Broken
    • 5 Egg Whites, Well Beaten
    • Pinch of salt


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter and sugar, Blend in lightly beaten egg yolks

    2. Add syrup, vanilla,and pecans, stir well. Fold in beaten egg whites.

    3. Pour into unbaked pastry shell and bake slowly at 325 degrees for 1 hour until custard-like in consistency.
    4. Serve with whipped cream, or ice cream.
