Mama's Pecan Pie
List of Ingredients
- 5 Egg yolks
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup White corn syrup
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Cup Pecan meats, Broken
- 5 Egg Whites, Well Beaten
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar, Blend in lightly beaten egg yolks
- Add syrup, vanilla,and pecans, stir well. Fold in beaten egg whites.
- Pour into unbaked pastry shell and bake slowly at 325 degrees for 1 hour until custard-like in consistency.
- Serve with whipped cream, or ice cream.

Don't set this one on the window sill to cool, you will draw WHIZBANG'S from miles away.
