1Teaspoon Liquid Smoke (Divided in half) I like Wrights Liquid smoke
1 Teaspoon Hot Sauce
1-18oz Bottle Kraft BBQ sauce ( Brown sugar flavor)
Salt and Pepper To Taste
Instructions
Slice onion,
In a Heavy Dutch oven, or heavy pot with a lid,
add sliced onion,crushed garlic, vinager, pork roast, lemon pepper, hot sauce,chili powder, and half teaspoon of liquid smoke, bring to high heat, then reduce to a simmer.
Cook at a low simmer for 4 to 6 hours,occasionally drain of excess liquid,cook until pork is tender enough to fall off of bone.
Remove pork from pan, and with a fork, tear meat into shreads
Drain all but 1/4 cup of liquid from pan ans add BBQ sauce, and 1/2 teaspoon of liquid smoke to pan.
Add meat back to pan and warm for 10 minutes until sauce thickens.
Final Comments
Serve this on a big sandwich bun with a quartered dill pickle and some chips on the side. But stand back the fur flies when the WHIZBANG'S get into these!
