This is for the request for candy cane jelly. It says to just let the candies melt so they might be able to substitute smashed up candy canes.

5 1/2 Cups sugar
1/2 lb cinnamon candy
1 bottle liquid pectin


Recipe



Mix sugar, 3 cups water and candies in large pan, bring to boil, stirring constantly, until candies are melted. Add pectin, bring to a boil. Boil rapidly for 1 minute, skim. Pour into sterilized jars, seal.
