Ronald Regan's Macaroni & Cheese

List of Ingredients
1/2 lb elbow macaroni
1 Tbsp butter
2-1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 Tbsp prepared mustard
salt & pepper to taste

Cook a 1/2 pound of macaroni in boiling, salted water, until it is just tender, but not quite done. While the macaroni is boiling, butter an 8 or 9 inch square baking dish, and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
When the macaroni is almost tender, drain it, put it in a mixing bowl, then toss it with a little bit of butter and about 2 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Pour the cheese and macaroni mixture into the baking dish.
In a small bowl, beat together one egg & the cup of milk. Add mustard, salt and pepper. Then pour this mixture over the macaroni in the baking dish, and sprinkle
another half-cup of cheese over the top. One egg, one cup of milk, a dab of mustard, and pour it over. Then sprinkle cheese on top.
Bake for 45 minutes
