1 Cup Butter softened
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Lemon Flavoring
2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Glaze
1 1/2 Cups Powered Sugar
1 Teaspoon Lemon Flavoring
1/2 Teaspoon Finely Grated Lemon Zest
5 to 6 Teaspoon Water
Recipe
Heat Oven to 400 Degrees
Combine butter,sugar and Flavoring and beat until creamy.
Add Flour,Baking powder and salt
Beat to mix.
Roll into 1 1/2 -inch balls
Place on cookei sheet
Flatten balls to 1/4 inch thickness with the bottom of a glass that's been coated in butter then dipped in sugar
Bake 8 to 9 min.
Glaze
Combine and beat with a wire whisk to blend very well
drop onto warm cookies first then spread
Makes 2 1/2 dozen cookies
