To boil:
Fill pot about halfway with water.
Bring to a hard boil.
Place "live" lobster in head first, cover tightly and return to a boil.
boil a lobster about 10 minutes for a 1 pounder, then cook 3 min. more for each extra pound.

To steam:
Make sure the pot you choose is large enough to hold a lobster.
add 1 1/2 to 2 inches of water to pot and bring to boil.
add lobster, cover tightly.
steam for 13 min.
