    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix with pudding in the mix
    1 large egg, lightly beaten
    1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
    1 cup chopped pecans
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2 large eggs
    1 (16 oz.) pkg. confectioners’ sugar, sifted

    Recipe



    Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Press into bottom of a greased 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan; set aside.

    Combine cream cheese, 2 eggs, and 1 cup confectioners’ sugar; beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until combined. Gradually add remaining confectioners’ sugar, beating after each addition. Pour over chocolate layer, spreading evenly.

    Bake at 350° F. for 40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack and cut into squares. Yield: 4 dozen.
