Butterscotch Brownies

1 cup butter
1 (11 oz.) pkg. butterscotch morsels
2-1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup chopped pecans
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease a 15- x 11- x 1-inch pan.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter and butterscotch morsels. Microwave at HIGH (100%) in 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until morsels are melted (about 1-1/2 minutes).
In a large bowl, combine brown sugar and eggs, stirring well. Add vanilla and melted butter mixture, stirring to combine.
In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to batter, stirring until smooth. Stir in pecans.
Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Allow to cool and cut into squares to serve.
