Truffle Brownies

1/4 cup butter, cut into pieces
1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
1/2 cup sugar (for part one)
1/3 cup sugar (for second part)
3 eggs
1 cup flour
3/4 cup heavy cream
Recipe
Heat oven to 350° F. In medium saucepan, over medium-low heat, stir together the butter and 1/2 cup chocolate chips. Continue to stir and heat until chocolate is nearly melted. Remove from heat and continue to stir until completely melted. Stir in 1/2 cup of sugar.
Working quickly to prevent curdling, whisk in 1 egg. Stir in 1 cup of flour to make a smooth batter. Spread evenly in an ungreased 9- x 9-inch pan. Place pan with batter in the refrigerator while continuing next step.
In the same saucepan, place 3/4 cup heavy cream and 1/3 cup sugar. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and pour over 1 cup of chocolate chips in a medium-sized bowl; stir until melted. Quickly whisk in 2 eggs until smooth. Spread evenly over mixture in pan. Bake about 35-45 minutes or until top is just dry. Don't overbake. Cool pan on rack and cut into bars.
