    Sand Tarts

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup butter (or margarine)
    3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup chopped pecans
    Additional powdered sugar to coat

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Cream butter and sugar. Add flour gradually mix well. Add nuts and vanilla and mix. Roll into balls and/or crescents. Bake about 25-30 minutes or until lightly browned. Roll in additional powdered sugar while still warm.

    ***Tip*** I get a large freezer Ziploc bag and pour powdered sugar in it and toss a handful of the cookies in. Zip it and toss till well coated. I do this till they are all done. The cookies should be warm so that the sugar adheres to the cookies but not too hot or warm that it will make holes in the bag!
