1 Tblsp. corn oil
1/2 lb. lean ground beef (optional)
1 large onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (26 to 30 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tsp. dried oregano
16 oz. ziti noodles, cooked 7 minutes and drained
1 container (15 oz.) ricotta cheese
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded part skim mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Recipe
In large skillet heat corn (corn??) oil over medium-high heat. Add beef, onion, and garlic; stirring frequently, cook 3 minutes. Stir in spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce and oregano; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Combine 1 cup sauce with ziti. Spoon half of ziti mixture into 13x9x2-inch baking dish; top with ricotta, 1 cup mozzarella, 1 cup sauce, remaining mixture and sauce. Cover and bake in 350° F. oven 20 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella and Parmesan. Bake uncovered 10 minutes longer or until heated through.
