    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. Italian Sausage
    8 oz. Crimini mushrooms; sliced thick
    5 cloves garlic; minced
    14 oz. crushed tomatoes
    1/4 tsp. kosher salt
    1 Tblsp. fresh chopped basil
    1/2 cup heavy cream
    8 oz. penne pasta
    1 Tblsp. extra-virgin olive oil
    Fresh Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Brown sausage in a large skillet until almost cooked through; stir in mushrooms and continue to cook until mushrooms are tender. Stir in garlic and continue to cook for 1 minute. Combine tomatoes, salt, basil and cream and stir into sausage mixture; bring to a simmer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

    Meanwhile, cook penne pasta until al dente (according to package instructions), drain and toss with extra-virgin olive oil. Gently toss pasta into hot sausage and sauce. Serve garnished with lots of freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
