    Unknown on the web

    List of Ingredients

    • 1 (9 oz.) pkg. miniature pretzels (about 6 cups)
    • 6 cups Rice or Corn Chex cereal (or Crispix)
    • 1 cup pecan halves
    • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
    • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
    • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
    • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
    • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

    Instructions

    1. Combine pretzels, cereal, and pecan halves in a 6 quart microwaveable glass (not plastic!) bowl and set aside.

    2. In a 2-quart microwaveable glass (again, not plastic!) bowl, mix together the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Microwave mixture on HIGH until mixture boils (3 to 3-1/2 minutes). Stir once to dissolve sugar. Microwave on 30% power for an additional 4 minutes or until mixture is golden brown.

    3. Stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. This will cause the mixture to foam a bit.

    4. Pour over the dry cereal/pretzel mixture. Toss to coat evenly. Microwave on HIGH uncovered 4-1/2 to 5 minutes, or until lightly glossed. Stir twice. Spoon onto large cookie sheets that have been covered with waxed paper. Cool briefly and break into pieces or chunks. Do not leave on waxed paper too long as it will stick badly.

    5. Store in airtight container.
