Original Recipe, Adapted From A Prepared Supermarket Dip
Recipe Introduction
I concocted this recipe myself, adapted from a crab dip, served at a local supermarket. I am always asked to bring this dip 'to the party'! Be sure and serve with a 'Club-type cracker'. It doesn't taste the same with canned shrimp, so do yourself a favor and go to the Seafood Counter!
List of Ingredients
(1) Cup Sour Cream
(1) 8 Ounce Package Cream Cheese, Softened
(1) TBL Lemon Juice
(1) TBL Garlic Salt
(1) .7 Ounce Packet Dry Italian Salad Dressing Mix
(1/2) Pound Fresh Salad Shrimp, ChoppedRecipe
Beat all ingredients with electric mixer until creamy. Gently fold in shrimp. Chill overnight. You can make this recipe with frozen shrimp, but I suggest that you use fresh...you will be able to tell the difference. It's best served with crackers. This recipe has to be made at least one day in advance, to allow the flavors to blend. Makes 2 Cups.
