Caramel Cookies
List of Ingredients
- 3 Cups flour
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 cup canola oil
- 2 cups packed light brwon sugar
- 2 larg eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
- Combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, beat the canola oil and brown sugar together. Beat in the eggs. Beat in the vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Form the dough into a log 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper and chill for 4 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
- Slice the log into 1/4-inch thick slices and place 1 inch apart on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until lightly colored. Transfer to wire reacks to cool.
