Cut-Out Hanukkah Cookies
List of Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon greated lemon zest
Instructions
- Combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat the oil and sugar. Beat in the egg. Beat in the milk and vanilla. Beat in the lemon zest. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Cover and chill for 6 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- On a floured surface, roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch. Using cookie cutters, cut into shaprs and plave 1 1/2 inch apaart on ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 6 to 8 minutes, until lighly colored. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
