    Butter Cookies


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup butter
    • 4 cups flour
    • 3 large eggs
    • 2 cups granulated sugar


    Instructions


    1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
    2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan. Remove from heat and add 2 cups of the flour all at once. Geat in the eggs one at a time. Beat in the sugar. Gradually blend in the remaining flour.
    3. On a flowered surface, rool out the dough to a thicknes of 1/4 inch. Using cookie cutter, cut into shapes and place the cookies 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
    4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until lightly colored. Transfer to wire racks to cool.
