    3/4 C. butter
    1 C. sugar
    3/4 C. toasted blanched almonds (slivered or sliced)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    chocolate chips or dipping chocolate
    additional nuts to sprinkle on the top (optional)

    Recipe



    Combine butter, salt, sugar and almonds in saucepan. Boil on medium heat until candy reaches 300 F. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Press out until smooth and even. While it is hot, cut the candy to desired size, or score if you plan to snap it later.

    Melt the chocolate, either drizzle the top, or dip the peices(sprinkle additional nuts on top while th chocolate is warm). Cool & store.
