    CREAMY CHOCOLATE LACE CHEESECAKE

    CRUST:
    2 c. chocolate wafer crumbs
    1/2 c. almonds, finely chopped
    1/3 c. butter, melted

    FILLING:
    2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, softened
    2/3 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips, melted & cooled
    1 c. whipping cream
    2 T. butter, melted
    1 t. vanilla

    TOPPING:
    1 c. sour cream
    1 1/2 t. vanilla
    1 t. sugar
    1/2 oz. (1/2 sq.) unsweetened chocolate, melted

    Heat oven to 325 degrees. Butter a 9" springform pan.

    In a medium bowl, blend crust ingredients. Press into the bottom of the pan. Refrigerate.

    FILLING: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one. Add melted chocolate chips and beat well. Add whipping cream, butter and vanilla; beat until smooth. Pour into prepared crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 65 minutes or until edges are set. Center of cheese cake will be soft. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Remove sides and cool completely.

    TOPPING: In a small bowl, combine sour cream, vanilla and sugar; stir until smooth. Spread over cheese cake. Drizzle with melted unsweetened chocolate in a lace pattern. Refrigerate 2 hours or over night.
