    List of Ingredients


    • 1 fryer chicken, cut up
    • 3/4 stick butter
    • 1 tsp. salt
    • 1 onion
    • Gravy:
    • 2 Cups potato water
    • 1/4 to 1/3 Cup milk
    • Thickening the gravy:
    • 1/2 Cup water
    • 3/4 Cup flour


    Instructions


    1. Brown chicken in large skillet with butter and salt.
    2. Add cut up onion and enough water to barely cover the chicken pieces.
    3. Simmer on low until water cooks down.
    4. Cook well - If not done, add more water and simmer longer.
    5. Gravy:
    6. Add potato water (from boiled potatoes) and milk together in a sauce pan.
    7. Thickening:
    8. Combine water and flour in a shaker container. Shake until combined.
    9. Add slowly to potato water over medium heat until thick.
