List of Ingredients
- 1 fryer chicken, cut up
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 onion
- Gravy:
- 2 Cups potato water
- 1/4 to 1/3 Cup milk
- Thickening the gravy:
- 1/2 Cup water
- 3/4 Cup flour
Instructions
- Brown chicken in large skillet with butter and salt.
- Add cut up onion and enough water to barely cover the chicken pieces.
- Simmer on low until water cooks down.
- Cook well - If not done, add more water and simmer longer.
- Gravy:
- Add potato water (from boiled potatoes) and milk together in a sauce pan.
- Thickening:
- Combine water and flour in a shaker container. Shake until combined.
- Add slowly to potato water over medium heat until thick.
