    Quick Apple Pie

    Bake 425 degrees


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 cup sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    • 1 tsp. ground nutmeg or cinnamon
    • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    • 6 cups sliced, cored, peeled apples
    • 1 Tbsp. Margarine
    • Pastry for double crust 9" pie


    Instructions


    1. Mix Sugar , cornstarch and nutmeg or cinnamon in a saucepan. Add slice apples and margarine
    2. Cook on medium heat until apples are done and thickened.
    3. Add lemon juice.
    4. Pour into a pie crust and cover with top crust. Make about 6 slits in top crust. Brush milk on top crust for a glazed brown look.
    5. Bake 425 degrees until crust is done and browned.
    6. Can be baked before cooking apples. Just mix dry ingredients , add apples and lemon juice. Put in crust and cover with top crust, make slits in top.
    7. Bake 50 minutes at 425 degrees.
