Savory Potato Gratin

List of Ingredients
- 4 or 5 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 3 to 4 medium onions, peeled and sliced
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- dash nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 3 Tbsp. chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup whipping cream (evaporated milk would be fine too)
- Paprika
Instructions
- Saute onions in butter in a large skillet until soft and transparent.
- In a shallow baking dish, arrange potaotes and onions, sprinkling with seasonings in between layers for best flavor.
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes
- Add whipping cream all ove top. Sprinkle with paprika
- Increase temperature to 400 degrees
- Bake for another 10 to 20 minutes until potatoes are soft and fork tender and gratin slightly browned on top.
