Grandma’s Breakfast Fruit
Serves: 8
2 large cooking apples, peeled and thickly sliced
1/2 c. pitted prunes
3/4 c. raisins
1 orange, peeled and sectioned
3 c. + 3 T. water, ‘divided’
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 T. cornatarch
In a saucepan, combine the first 4 ingredients and 3 c. water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer t10 minutes. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Combine cornstarch with remaining water, stir into saucepan. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Cook 2 minutes. Chill.
