    Salted Peanut Crisps -- e-w
    Yield: 72 cookies.

    1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar
    1/2 cup margarine -- softened
    1/2 cup shortening
    2 eggs
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    3 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups salted peanuts
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    Heat oven to 375F. Mix brown sugar, margarine, shortening, eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients.

    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Flatten with greased bottom of glass dipped in sugar.

    Bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

    One cookie equals: 85 Calories; 5g Fat; 2g Protein; 9g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 5mg Cholesterol; 43mg Sodium. +++EXC: 1/2 Grain(Starch); 1 Fat; 1/2 Other
