    Apple-Buttered Sweet Potatoes -- w

    BH&G 5 Ingredient Slow Cooking
    Apple-Buttered Sweet Potatoes (crockpot) -- w
    Alert! High Saturated Fat Recipe! (5 gm)
    Serves: 10

    3 lb. sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-in. pieces
    2 medium tart cooking apples (such as Granny Smith), peeled and cut into wedges
    Optional: ‘1/2 c. dried cherries – or - dried cranberries’
    1 c. whipping cream
    1 c. apple butter
    1-1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

    In a 3-1/3 or 4 qt. slow cooker combine the first 2 ingredients and dried cherried if desired.
    In a medium bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Pour over potato mixture; stir gently to combine.

    Cover and cook on LOW for 6-7 hours – or – HIGH for 3-3-1/2 hours.

    One serving equals: 351 calories…9 gm fat (5 gm saturated)…22 mg cholesterol…25 mg sodium…65 gm carbohydrate…5 gm fiber…2 gm protein +++WWP: 7
