- 4 small ripe Anjou or Bosc pears
- 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 whole cloves
- 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Peel pears, core and cut in half. Place in a glass baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over pears. Cover with foil and bake 20 minutes. Discard cinnamon stick and serve warm or cool,
with a garnish of slivered almonds.
