Chocolate-Orange Ice
Plan ahead…needs to chill several hours...Uses Ice Cream Maker.
Serves: 6
2 c. water
2/3 c. sugar
2 T. Hershey’s Cocoa
Strips of peel from 1 orange
1/2 c. orange juice
In medium saucepan, stir together first 4 ingredients. Cook over medium heat; stirring occasionally, until mixture comes to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes, without stirring.
Strain to remove orange peel; discard.
Cover; refrigerate mixture several hours until cold. Stir orange juice into chocolate mixture. Pour into 1-qt. ice cream freezer container. Freeze according to manufacturer’s directions.
