    Fresh Pear Crisp -- e-w
    Serves: 9

    1/3 c. flour
    1/3 c. quick-cooking oats
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon, ‘divided’
    3 T. cold reduced-fat stick margarine*, cut into pieces

    4 c. sliced peeled pears (about 2 lbs.)
    2 T. sugar
    1 T. lemon juice
    1 tsp. grated lemon peel
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger

    In a bowl combine the first 3 items and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Cut in margarine until coarse crumbs form; set aside. Place pears in a large bowl. Sprinkle with the last 4 ingredients including the remaining 1/2 tsp. cinnamon; toss to coat.

    Transfer to an 8-inch square baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Sprinkle with crumb mixture. Bake at 350º for 45-50 minutes or until pears are tender.

    One serving equals: 130 calories…3 gm fat (trace saturated)…0 cholesterol…43 mg sodium…28 gm carbohydrate…2 gm fiber…1 gm protein ++++ Exchanges: 1 starch…1 fruit. ++++ WWP: 2
