    "Magic Menus for People with Diabetes"
    Fruit Crisp -- e-w
    Yield: 6 servings

    - 3 cups sliced apples
    - 1 16 ounces can juice-packed peaches, undrained
    - 1/2 cup oatmeal
    - 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
    - 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    - 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    - 3/4 teaspoon cornstarch
    - 2 tablespoon reduced-fat margarine

    Preheat oven to 375º F. Lightly coat a 9x9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
    Put apples and peaches in pan.

    In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients. Stir half of mixture into fruit. Sprinkle remainder of the dry mixture over top of the fruit and bake for 30 minutes.

    One 3/4-cupserving equals: Calories: 142, Fat: 3 g, Cholesterol: 0 mg, Sodium: 33 mg,Carbohydrate: 29 g, Dietary Fiber: 4 g, Sugars: 15 g, Protein: 3 g +++EXC: 1 Starch, 1 Fruit +++WWP: 2
