Pork Chops in Tomato Sauce

Serves: 4
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 T. stick margarine
4 bone-in pork loin chops (6 oz. each), trimmed of fat
1 can (8 oz.) no-salt-added tomato sauce
1/4 c. dry white wine…or…reduced-sodium, fat-free chicken broth
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/8 tsp. pepper
In a large nonstick skillet, sauté onion and garlic in margarine until tender. Add pork chops; brown on both sides. In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; pour over chops. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until tender.
