Fresh fruit is one of summer's luxuries. This easy make-ahead salad features a spectacular combination of seven different kinds of fruit.

Fresh Fruit Salad wih Citrus Sauce

Makes 4 side-dish servings.
1/3 cup sugar
3 Tbsp. water
2 Tbsp. lemon or lime juice
1 Tbsp. orange juice
1 medium peach, peeled, pitted, and sliced (1 cup)
1 medium nectarine, pitted and sliced (1 cup)
1/2 cup honeydew melon chunks
1/2 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1/2 cup blueberries
1 medium banana, sliced
1/2 cup sliced strawberries
In a small saucepan, heat and stir sugar, water, lemon juice, and orange juice over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat; chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or until completely chilled.
In a large bowl, combine peach slices, nectarine slices, honeydew chunks, pineapple chunks, and blueberries. Pour chilled juice mixture over fruit; stir gently. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour or up to 4
hours.
To serve: stir in banana and strawberries.
