    Fruity Cheese Pockets
    Serves: 4

    1 c. nonfat cottage cheese
    1 c. drained juice-packed fruit cocktail
    1/2 c. shredded nonfat cheddar cheese
    2 (6-in.) pita bread rounds, split crosswise
    4 lettuce leaves

    In a medium bowl, stir together the first 3 ingredients. If desired, cover and chill mixture until serving time. To serve, line each pita pocket half with a lettuce leaf and spoon in fruit mixture.

    One 1/2 pita pocket equals: 146 calories…12 gm protein…22 gm carbohydrate…3 mg cholesterol…339 mg sodium…1 gm fat (0 saturated)
