Sweet Cherry Sauce -- w
Yield: 2-3/4 cups
1/2 c. water
1/3 c. grenadine syrup
2 T. cornstarch
1 16-oz. pkg. frozen sweet cherries, thawed
1/2 tsp almond extract
Combine the first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Stir in cherries, cook until heated. Remove from heat; stir in extract.
Serve warm or chilled over ice milk, nonfat frozen yogurt or angel food cake.
