    Beefy Tomato Soup - e-w
    Ready in 30 minutes or less
    Serves: 8

    1 lb. lean ground beef
    1 qt. reduced-sodium tomato juice
    3 c. water
    3/4 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
    1 envelope reduced-sodium onion soup mix….(See ‘MakeYourOwn’ section)
    1/4 tsp. chili powder

    In a large saucepan, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or until macaroni is tender.

    One 1-cup serving equals: 176 calories…307 mg sodium…21 mg cholesterol…16 gm carbohydrate…15 gm protein…5 gm fat…1 gm fiber ++++ Exchanges: 1-1/2 meat…1 starch ++++WWP: 4
