    List of Ingredients


    • 8 quarts of popped popcorn
    • 2 cups brown sugar
    • 2 sticks margarine or butter
    • 1/2 cup white corn syrup
    • 1/2 tsp butter flavoring (if using margarine)
    • 1/2 tsp baking soda


    Instructions


    1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees (F). Pop popcorn in an air popper, if possible.

    2. Cook the brown sugar, margarine and corn syrup over medium heat until melted. After it's melted, add the butter flavoring and baking soda. Pour over popped corn. (Careful, as this caramel syrup is very hot.)

    3. Put on cookie sheets or large roaster. Bake 1 hour, stirring several times while baking.

      Makes 8 quarts.
