Brunch Casserole
This recipe was submitted to the GEHS Blazer Booster Cookbook by my sister,Lois and her daughter Julie.
List of Ingredients
- 4 c. bread,cubed
- 3 c. shredded sharp Cheddar
- 12 eggs, beaten
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 lb. bacon, fried and crumbled
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1 c. diced tomatoes
Instructions
- Prepare the night before and allow to stand 12 to 24 hours before baking.
- Grease 9x13 casserole. Lay bread crumbs in the bottom.Sprinkle with cheese.
- Beat together eggs, seasonings, and onion. Sprinkle remaining ingredients on top.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Check at 45 minutes and cover with foil if casserole is geting too brown.
