6 tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup boiling water
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 package yeast
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 cup warm water
3 cups flour
Recipe
Mix together 1 package yeast,1 teaspoon sugar in 1/2 cup warm water.
Pour boiling water over shortening.
Add sugar. Let cool.
Add beaten egg and yeast.
Stir in 3 cups flour.Knead until smooth.
Make into rolls. Let rise 1 hour or until double in size.
Bake in greased pan at 450% for about 20 minutes.
