    Recipe Introduction


    A very rich cake. A little piece goes along way. Best eaten before supper, so that you're sure to have room!


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 cup sugar
    • 2 eggs, beaten
    • 2 cups fruit cocktail
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 tsp. baking soda
    • 3/4 cup brown sugar
    • 1 cup chopped pecans ( coarsley )
    • 1 1/2 cup sugar
    • 1 cup evaporated milk
    • 1/2 cup margarine


    Instructions


    1. combine 1/2 cup sugar with eggs, fruit cocktail, flour and baking soda. Mix well, and pour into greased rectangular pan.
    2. Mix 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 cup chopped pecans. Crumble over top of above mixture.
    3. Bake at 325 for 40 minutes.
    4. Icing: Mix 1 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup evaporated milk, and 1/2 cup margarine. Boil for 2 minutes, and pour over warm cake.
