Creamy Garlic Mashed potatoes

List of Ingredients
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 3 whole heads of garlic
- 4 lbs. Baking potatoes
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 tsp white pepper
- 2/3 cup cream or milk
- black pepper to taste
- 2 TBSP olive oil
Instructions
- Cut the ends off the heads of garlic to expose the individual cloves, but leave the root end and papery skin intact.
- Drizzle olive oil over the cut end and sprinkle with black pepper.
- Add 1/2 inch water to a small oven proof pan and place garlic in it cut side up. Place in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Let the heads cool a bit before handling.
- Squeeze the cloves from their skins and push them through a small seive.
- Peel potatoes and cook, covered in water until soft.
- Mash the potatoes with butter, cream cheese, white pepper and cream or milk. Add mashed garlic mixture. Mix well, and serve immediately.
Final Comments
You can also add some parmesan cheese to this for variety.
